Talia has been incredibly helpful in healing my relationship with food! I specifically was looking for a health at every size dietitian who would not push weight loss on me. She has been a huge source of stability and accountability in helping come up with meal plans without any judgement! Can’t recommend her enough!Posted on Google Lauren PowersTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Talia has been an excellent dietician to work with. She met me where I was and let me guide the sessions, while still offering thoughtful and flexible feedback. I appreciated how she always provided options rather than rigid prescriptions, and consistently reinforced a positive relationship with food while being mindful of the mental health components involved. Even when I gave an absolute “no” to certain food ideas, she never took offense — just rolled with it and offered something else. My Philosophy
All foods fit (but some foods might be limited or avoided due to religious, medical, or preferential reasons).
Foods & diets are not “one size fits all.” What works for one person might not work for the next — and that’s okay.
You can work on improving yourself & reaching your health/wellness goals without focusing on your weight. In fact, I recommend it!
I will not tell you what foods to eat or not eat. I will guide you towards a way of eating that is sustainable, joyful, and nourishing for you.

How to Get Started with 1:1 Virtual Nutrition Coaching
1: Book a discovery call
Book a free 15-minute discovery call to discuss your goals and questions. If we decide we are a good fit, I’ll send you more info to book your first session.
If you’d like to chat with me via email or phone call, my info is listed on my contact page.
2: Initial Assessment
Once you book your discovery call, the team at Berry Street will verify if your insurance covers virtual nutrition coaching, and if so, if you have a co-pay. If it does not, you can opt to pay out-of-pocket (rates are listed in the FAQ section below).
During the initial assessment, I’ll review your medical history, lifestyle/schedule, current eating habits, and goals. We’ll come up with an action plan together.
3: Follow-Up
Most of my clients tell me that they know what to do; the harder part is figuring out how to do it! That’s what follow-up appointments are for: figuring out the how.
During follow-up appointments, I’ll review your progress and provide feedback around what’s working or not working. We’ll work together to adjust your plan and goals.
About Me
Hi, I’m Talia!
I’m Talia Follador — a registered dietitian, writer, and media expert who helps people make sense of nutrition without fear, guilt, or food rules. You’ll find my work featured in national outlets like EatingWell, where I break down complex nutrition science into practical, real-life advice that actually works outside of a perfect, Pinterest-worthy kitchen.
My approach blends evidence-based nutrition with lived experience, empathy, and a healthy dose of humor. I specialize in intuitive eating, emotional eating, neurodivergence, eating disorders, and sober curiosity.
My goal is always the same: to make nutrition feel more human, more flexible, and a lot less overwhelming. Health doesn’t require perfection — just enough food, consistency, and meals you genuinely enjoy.

common questions
We meet via video chat using a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. The initial virtual nutrition coaching session will mostly involve me asking you questions about your medical history, food preferences, cooking ability, food budget, daily/weekly schedule, etc. We will end the session by choosing a goal and initial action plan.
During the follow-up sessions, we review and adjust the action plan based on your progress. I base the coaching process around what YOU need — education, support, encouragement, accountability, etc.
At all virtual nutrition coaching sessions, I will offer advice, answer questions, and provide empathy and support. Between sessions, you can message me any time with questions or concerns.
Initial sessions are 90 minutes and follow-up sessions are either 30 or 60 minutes depending on your needs.
Yes! As of right now, I accept Aetna, United Healthcare, and Highmark. More are in the works, so stay tuned!
Once you book an appointment, we will help you understand what your insurance covers. Many plans cover virtual nutrition coaching at little to no cost to you!
If your insurance plan does not cover virtual nutrition coaching, you can pay an out-of-pocket rate. You may be able to use this towards your deductible or out-of-pocket maximum.
Additionally, I can accept HSA/FSA payments.
We will decide upon a frequency during the initial session. Typically, we meet every other week or once a month, however this can vary depending upon your needs.
This depends on your insurance coverage. We will help you figure out what your insurance covers before your initial virtual nutrition coaching session.
If your insurance does not cover virtual nutrition coaching, out-of-pocket rates are as follows:
Initial 90-minute session: $160
Follow-up 60-minute session: $140
Follow-up 30-minute session: $70
For long-term success, I recommend we work together for at least three months. This allows us more time to troubleshoot barriers, and the ongoing support will help you feel confident to continue on your own.
The frequency of appointments will all depend on where you are in your health journey. We can discuss this during our initial appointment.
This is virtual nutrition coaching, so you can meet with me from anywhere — no traveling to an office required!
